What is the Midwest Bridge Preservation Partnership (MWBPP)?
The Midwest Bridge Preservation Partnership is a regional forum comprised of bridge practitioners from State, Local and Federal Government Agencies, Contractors, Consultants, Suppliers, and Academia where bridge preservation practices throughout the Midwest Region are shared. We encourage you to become a member of the MWBPP, but membership is not required to attend the 2023 Annual Meeting.
When / where will the 2023 MWBPP Meeting be held? The 2023 MWBPP partnership meeting will be held October 17th—19th, 2023 at The Lodge at Deadwood, 100 Pine Crest Lane, Deadwood, South Dakota. Dress is business casual.
How do I register? Please Register Online at 2023 MWBPP or complete the meeting registration form attached. Online registration by September 17th , 2023 is requested. See the brochure for all options, benefits and fees for registering for the meeting.
State transportation agencies: through the AASHTO TSP-2 yearly, voluntary contribution, state member agencies may send two participants and receive travel, lodging, registration, and miscellaneous expense reimbursement for the two attendees.
Local agencies: for payment of a $2,750 fee, local agencies receive a one-year membership and may send one participant and receive travel, lodging, registration, and miscellaneous expense reimbursement for that one participant to attend the 2023 annual meeting.
Attendees receiving travel assistance, hotel reservations and travel reimbursement from NCPP: complete and return the Travel Planning Request Form found online at: bit.ly/TSP2TravelRequestForm. Please follow the instructions on the form.
Attendees not receiving travel assistance, hotel reservations and travel reimbursement from NCPP: please make your room reservation directly by contacting the The Lodge at Deadwood at (605) 584-4800 by September 25th, 2023 to obtain the reduced single occupancy rate of $89.00 per night, plus all applicable taxes. Please identify yourself as part of the MWBPP.
Getting to Deadwood: The closest airport served by major airlines is in Rapid City, SD which is about 50 miles (1 hour) from Deadwood. The Lodge at Deadwood operates free transportation from the Rapid City Airport to their facility for meeting attendees. If interested, please make arrangements at the time you reserve your hotel room or contact the The Lodge at Deadwood at (605) 584-4800 at least 7 days prior to arrival.
Industry members will each receive one paid exhibitor display space with table plus paid registration for two participants who will also be eligible to serve as officers. Elected industry officers may cast one vote on issues being considered at the business meeting. National membership for 2023 in the Bridge Preservation Partnerships allows these benefits at each of the four 2023 regional partnership meetings.
